Join us at BeStitched Studio for a beginner-friendly introduction to American Mahjong with Ariana Alford, founder of Little Miss Mahj. Whether you’ve never touched a tile or have been wanting to learn what all the Mahjong buzz is about, this class will walk you through everything you need to start playing with confidence.

During this 2.5-hour class, you’ll learn the tiles, how to read the card, the Charleston, and how to put it all together to play your first real hands of Mahjong!

Ariana will guide you through the basics step-by-step, with the goal of completing real hands before you leave.

This class is limited to just 12 participants so everyone gets plenty of hands-on guidance and no one gets left behind. By the end of the evening, you’ll be calling Mahjong! and ready to keep playing.

💕 Meet Your Instructor

Ariana Alford is the founder of Little Miss Mahj and a former school teacher based in the Phoenix area who turned her love of American Mahjong into a mission: getting people off their phones and back around the table together.

When she isn’t teaching, Ariana is happiest with a needle and thread, styling a table, or hosting friends. She brings that same warm, unhurried energy to every class, creating a welcoming—and just a little competitive—environment where first-timers feel at ease and leave already planning their next game.
